[email protected]. One person reads this inbox; you will normally hear back within 48 hours. Please include your iOS version and what you expected to happen. Never include the content of your notes; we do not need it and would rather not hold it.
Undwell is not a crisis line. If you or someone near you is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. If tonight is heavy, findahelpline.com lists free, confidential lines for your country, text and chat options first. The app shows the same resources for your region on its About screen.
Frequently asked
Where is my data? On your phone, encrypted, and nowhere else. There is no account and no server. See the privacy policy.
I got a new phone. Where are my notes? Undwell data moves with your normal iPhone backup or device-to-device transfer. If you had "Keep out of backups" switched on, the notes existed only on the old phone; that is the stated trade of that switch.
Can I export everything? Yes. Settings > Export everything produces a plain-text copy of all your notes and receipts. There is also a counts-only PDF summary made for handing to a therapist, which never includes your text.
How do I delete everything? Settings > Erase everything. Two taps, gone from the device. We hold no copy to delete on our side.
Why did the app show me crisis lines? Some phrasings match an on-device safety screen. It errs on the side of showing the card, and it tells you when it may have misread; one tap takes you back to sorting. Nothing about it leaves your phone and no one is notified, either way.
The morning notification did not arrive. Check iOS Settings > Notifications > Undwell, and that your wake window in the app's settings matches when you actually wake. Undwell never notifies at night by design, so a nudge scheduled into your sleep window is dropped rather than delivered.
Does voice capture upload my audio? No. Transcription runs on the device using Apple's speech recognition, and session audio is discarded after transcription.
Is Undwell therapy? No. It is a thinking tool: a place to put the night down and look at it with morning distance. It is not therapy, not a medical device, and not clinically validated, and it says so in the app.
Something is broken. Tell us at [email protected]. Screenshots help; your note content is never needed.
